The chapter also helps support scholarships for native Americans, Fisher House, a rehabilitation center for members of the military, Fort Nashboro, the Nashville City Cemetery, and many more projects. Various charitable endeavors of this chapter were discussed, including sending military units “goodie” boxes, which include razors, shampoo, socks, long underwear, snacks, and items to give the children in the villages where the military units are posted. New officers and committee chairs gathered for a delicious lunch by Corner Market Catering with quiche, a salad with greens, strawberries and feta cheese, and a variety of delicious bar cookies. The General James Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held its fall kickoff at the home of Susan Ramsey. Guests included: Sue and Dave Berryman, Brock Bodart, Gary Everton, Jimmy Wilson III, Patrick Micklewright, Pat Raines, Brandon Kuvara, and Vandana and Rick Abramson. Martin’s BBQ, Best Brands, Corsair, and Crowned Heads provided food and beverages for the event. The creation of CigArt was inspired by Cano, Tim and Aylin Ozgener, who for over a decade orchestrated hundreds of consumer events featuring their then cigar brand, CAO.Ī friend and fellow host-committee member, Joseph Grenvicz, suggested OZ Arts replicate and refine these events into one and add art to the mix, which they did. CigArt took place at OZ Arts Nashville and was the third annual fundraiser benefiting the nonprofit contemporary arts center, OZ Arts Nashville.
